Deep Tissue Massage

Flowing, firm pressure to release muscle tension.  The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle, tissue, tendons and fascia.  Combined with joint release techniques, shiatsu point work and body alignment stretching.

Chinese cupping maybe included on request.  The use of silicone cups can be used to draw muscle layers into the cups instead of applying direct pressure.  The cups will be both moved gently along an area or left in place on the body. Assisting in relieving muscle tension and to disperse and break up stagnation.

Acupressure Therapy

Acupressure therapy consists of holding one or more Acu-point simultaneously, being held with a gentle yet deep finger pressure until there is a release.  The finger pressure is adjusted from gentle to strong depending on what’s needed to release the soreness or tension and allowing for relaxation. Released energy moves from areas of excess to areas of deficiency, creating balance in the whole system and allowing it to be available where needed. The session will focus on a combination of points throughout the whole body.  The session will include balancing steps for centring and final grounding methods before completion.

Chinese cupping may again be used on request.

Reflexology

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy is a practice involving the application of pressure to specific points on the feet and hands and specific finger techniques throughout. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect the entire body and organs of the body.  Creating physical, mental relaxation and balance to our entire system.
